poor ed mcmahon, literally.

how can a living legend go from having everything to having nothing? where did it all go? he has been out of work for a year and a half due to an injury, but hes 85 years old, and has worked his entire life.

aside from the well known game show “the price is right,” he was johnny carsons sidekick for 30 years. hes been on several tv shows, and made cameos in tons of movies. He is a WWII and a Korean War Vet. He’s an American Icon.

mcmahon and his wife, pamela, owe, and are being sued by numerous creditors, but mega-developer donald trump has taken one large burden off of the tv personality’s shoulders.  the donald has offered to buy the stars beverly hills mansion, set for foreclosure in two weeks, for an undisclosed amount, and lease it back to him.

i do think its awesome that the don came out for ed, but I don’t for a second believe that he is doing this out of sentiment for a retired TV announcer. if i had to guess,Trump buys the mortgage at a deep discount, saving Ed the embarrassment and the bank some expense and uncertainty, carries the note for a bit and flips the property for a tidy profit.

others should not expect a knight in shining armor to appear to solve their money woes. Ed should be an example to us all.
